i suppose you memorize anatomy, and disease, but you have to problem solve how A plus B equals C. It usually isn’t just about what saying the cause of death is, but saying how someone got there through a series of events left by whatever evidence is left behind—and that evidence isnt just left on or in the body. Plus you can’t memorize the measurements you need to take, the experiments to figure out exactly what kind of force produced what kind of trauma on individuals with different body characteristics. You also have to have an education about what other things, other than the answers you come up with, could have indicated what you find—while being able to defend logically why you, and not someone else is correct. Hope that helps, this answer doesn’t cover everything but hopefully you have a better idea? Good question :]
